MEGGA Hunt 

Get ready for a cracking good time! Celebrate springtime with the community at Springfield’s biggest annual egg hunt event. Join an inclusive egg-travaganza, perfect for the whole family. Different hunt options are available, with fun and games for all ages and abilities. Bring friends and family along for a morning of inclusive fun! 

Propagation Fair 

Begin your garden planning! Stop by to pick up free plant cuttings and seeds. There will be hundreds of varieties of scion (fruit-tree cuttings) and vegetable, grain, and flower seeds. Gardeners with seeds, bulbs, starts, or plant divisions to share are encouraged to bring them to the event but contribution is not required. Fruit tree rootstock will be available for $3. Try your hand at grafting your scion or ask a professional to help.

Lifeguard and Instructor Hiring Event

Join the pool squad at Willamalane! Come to Lifeguard and Instructor Hiring Events to land a job in the water. You'll learn about the job, meet the team, and jump into the pool. You might even get a job offer on the spot if you're a good fit! Willamalane fully pays for all necessary certifications so you can be confident and ready to save lives. The minimum age requirement is 15 years old. Bring a swimsuit and towel to the event.

Trips Showcase

Attend the Trips Showcase to enjoy food and drinks while you learn about all the fun trips ahead this season. You'll also have a chance to register at the event before registration opens to the public! One lucky attendee will win a free trip, thanks to 5 Star Concierge. This is a free event, and no registration is required.

2024 Huerta Chávez Celebration

Each year, this event engages Springfield students, teachers, and community members in honoring Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta's legacy - raising awareness for social justice. 

Artist Reception:  Ellen Gabehart's Classes Collection of Works

Experience the diverse talent of our community at reception events as part of Springfield’s Second Friday Art Walk. Each artist’s reception features complimentary refreshments, live music, and a shuttle service to and from the Emerald Art Center, making joining easy and convenient.

Learn to Ride

Learn how to ride a bike in no time at this free community event at Bob Keefer Center. Springfield and Eugene's Safe Routes to School Program partners will provide all the necessary equipment, and you'll even have a chance to win a free helmet!

Spring Fling: Skate Party

City Nature Challenge Bioblitz

All ages. Participate in the 2024 Lane County City Nature Challenge with Willamalane! Citizens share observations of wild plants and animals in a worldwide Bioblitz. This outdoor, free program makes it easy and fun to participate. You’ll learn from Willamalane’s Natural Resources Department, explore Georgia Pacific Natural Area, and contribute to citizen science.

Mother’s Day Tea 

Spend the afternoon honoring the mother figures in your life. Enjoy sweet and savory treats in the historic Dorris Ranch barn, pose in our photo booth, and listen to music. Price is per person. Registration is required.

Spring Marketplace

Have lunch and browse locally crafted handmade goods in this one-stop shopping destination for Spring décor and gifts, such as birdhouses, garden art, collectibles, home decor, plants, gourmet treats, and more.
