Annual Pool Maintenance

The annual maintenance closure at Willamalane Park Swim Center has been extended through Oct. 26 due to ongoing complications with the roof replacement, including damage and sudden material delays from the manufacturer. 

Here are the important updates: 

  • Willamalane Park Swim Center will be closed from Sept. 1 to Oct. 26. Splash will offer extended hours and programming. See the Splash schedule for details.
  • Splash will be closed from Oct. 27 to Nov. 16.
  • Swim lessons: Lessons will continue as scheduled, but with location changes based on which pool is open. All registrants will be notified of these changes.
  • Water fitness: 7:30 a.m. Hydro-Fit will resume Oct. 1 at Splash. Find the fitness schedule here. 

Thank you for your patience and understanding as this essential work takes place. If necessary, dates may be extended due to other unforeseen circumstances. Please check back for updates.

Group Exercise Class Updates or Cancellations

  • Please be aware of road construction on Mill Street. This may impact or delay your trip to Willamalane Adult Activity Center. Learn more from the City of Springfield here.
  • Capacity: Classes in Santiam at Willamalane Adult Activity Center are limited to 16 participants.
  • Sept. 27, 8:30 a.m. Hatha Yoga will be in the Santiam Room.
  • 10/2-28 Monday, Wednesday, Friday 1:30 p.m. Tai Chi classes are self-practice, no instructor
  • 10/14 6 p.m. Hatha Yoga will be in the Santiam room
  • 10/25 All Saturday land-based fitness classes will be at Bob Keefer Center in the Ken Long Room

Park Notices

  • Thurston Hills Natural Area
    • Heavy machinery will be present at the North Trailhead and near Chinquapin Chutes Trail beginning Monday, Aug. 18, for power line maintenance. Work is expected to wrap up in October.
    • Upper Camas Crest Trail is closed for repair.
    • Mountain bike trails will close on Friday, Oct. 17, for the rainy season.
  • Willamalane Park - The parking lot near the tennis courts is closed while Willamalane Park Swim Center roof work takes place.
