“I’m Jeannie Griffin, and I live in Springfield. I heard about going to Willamalane pool from my physical therapist, who suggested I do water exercise.

“When I first started coming for water exercise, I had to be pushed in my chair from my car to the changing room, then down into the water. I was pretty disabled. Now I’m out in the deep end, and the leaders tell me, ‘Oh, you’re doing so good!’

“It has helped my balance, and that’s one of my major problems. Plus, I had broken both of my shoulders, and in the water I’ve increased the range of motion incredibly. It’s exciting, and it’s lots of fun!”
