Budget and Finances
Willamalane is committed to being a good steward of your tax dollars.
In 1944, Willamalane became the first special park district in Oregon. Since then, Community members who live within district boundaries pay a dedicated tax to support parks and recreation. Currently, tax revenue accounts for about 60% of Willamalane’s total budget. Other funding sources are admission fees, grants, and sponsorships.
Every dollar generated is reinvested in our community to improve and maintain parks, facilities, programs, and more.
Public Budget Process
Each spring, Willamalane develops its annual budget by aligning expected revenues and expenses and thoughtfully using reserve funds when needed to support operations and strategic priorities.
