Tumblebugs Tumbling – Ages 3-4
Thursdays, 9-9:45 a.m. or 3:45-4:30 p.m.
This 45-minute class allows active preschoolers to develop a love for tumbling while increasing their physical fitness. The program helps to increase your child’s strength and flexibility. In addition to greater physical fitness, children will also practice and develop social skills such as following directions, waiting their turn, sharing and working together with other children. They will learn tumbling skills such as forward rolls, backward rolls and handstands.
Skipping Squirrels Tumbling – Ages 5-6
Tuesdays, 4:45-5:45 p.m.
This 60-minute class uses a progressive program that accelerates skill development one step at a time, building confidence as kids master each skill. The program also helps to increases your child’s strength and flexibility. In addition to greater physical fitness, kids will also practice and develop social skills such as following directions, waiting their turn, sharing and working together with other children. Skills taught include: forward rolls, backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels and bridges.
Springers Tumbling Beginning – Ages 7-12
Ages 7-8: Thursdays, 6:15-7:15 p.m.
Ages 9-12: Wednesdays, 4:45-5:45 p.m.,
Homeschool, ages 6-10: Tuesdays, 10-11 a.m.
This 60-minute class will teach the basic fundamentals of tumbling. Students in this class will work on basic progressions: forward rolls, backward rolls, handstands, handstand drills, bridges, cartwheels and round-offs. We’ll focus on strength and flexibility, and staff will assist each student with hands-on spotting techniques to ensure proper body alignment and muscle memory.
Flippers Tumbling Level 2 – Ages 7-12
Wednesdays, 6-7 p.m.
To enroll in this 75-minute intermediate class, students must be able to perform a backbend, working on back bend kick-over and working on front and back walkovers. This class is geared toward students who have mastered the basic tumbling skills (Level 1) and are ready to move on. The skills in this class are dive rolls, front walkovers, back walkovers, multiple cartwheels, power hurdle and two-step entry into a round-off. In addition the class will introduce front and back handsprings, round-off connections and standing front and back walkover connections. We’ll focus on strength, conditioning and flexibility. Participants must have the Level 2 skills to progress to a Level 3 tumbling class.
