MEGGA Hunt
Get ready for a cracking good time! Celebrate springtime with the community at Springfield’s biggest annual egg hunt event. Join the party at Lively Park on Saturday, March 30 for an inclusive egg-travaganza perfect for the whole family.
Five options are available for fun and games for all ages and abilities. Bring friends and family along for a morning of inclusive fun! Family hunts are also available for those looking for a chance to hunt together as a group.
Pre-registration is required for anyone aged two and older who will be hunting eggs. Registration is not required for kids under two or people who will not be hunting eggs. There is no day-of registration available.
At the event, attendees can purchase the MEGGA Backyard Kit for $25, including 50 eggs and other surprises to keep families busy all weekend. Concessions, including Dawn's Most Wanted Espresso and hot drinks and snacks, will also be available.
General Admission
Competitive Hunt
Children race against others of a similar age to collect as many eggs as possible until they are all picked up. Each hunt has one golden egg, and the child who finds it receives a prize basket. Hunts take place on uneven grassy areas. All competitive hunts will happen on a rolling basis, so please be prepared for wait times of up to 15 minutes.

Baby/Toddler Non-Competitive Hunt
This hunt is for toddlers one year old or younger. The hunt area is designed for very young children and caregivers to experience sensory bins, unfilled eggs, photo spots, and costumed mascots. In addition, each child will receive a special Megga Hunt take-home gift.

- Hunts start at 9:30 a.m.
- Babies and toddlers are not required to provide a ticket to enter this hunt area.
Inclusive and Adaptive Hunts
Inclusive Non-Competitive Hunt
This hunt is open to all ages and has a maximum of six people per hunt, with each person collecting 20 eggs of their assigned color. The hunt is designed to be inclusive for all participants.
Adaptive Non-Competitive Hunt
This hunt is open to all ages and is accessible to individuals who use mobility devices or prefer flat concrete surfaces. Six people can participate in this hunt at a time, with each person collecting 20 eggs of their assigned color. Eggs are placed on various level surfaces, including the floor, tables, and elevated surfaces, and the hunt takes place under a shelter.

Reserve a Family Adventure Hunt
This hunt is open to all ages and allows families to reserve a section of Lively Park for a 10-minute egg hunt. The hunt includes about 100 eggs, with obstacles and uneven surfaces in the egg hunt area. Enjoy the Megga Hunt ambiance, with music, craft kits, a photo booth, balloon animals, and a costumed mascot.
