ADA Transition Plan

Willamalane has created an Americans with Disabilities Act transition plan to guide accessibility projects over the next 15 years. This plan aims to make hundreds of improvements in ADA access to Willamalane parks and facilities.

About the ADA Transition Plan

Willamalane partnered with Lane Independent Living Alliance (LILA) to audit all the district’s parks and facilities. LILA identified 389 barriers at parks and 65 barriers at facilities. Willamalane used this information and data from staff self-evaluations to inform a 15-year plan to remove all barriers. The Willamalane Board of Directors adopted it in the Dec. 2021 meeting.
