Club: Before and After-School CareMonday-Friday
7-8:30 a.m. and 2:45-6 p.m.
Willamalane Kids Club is a before- and after-school program for kids in Springfield elementary schools within Willamalane boundaries.
Kids Club provides a safe and supervised environment with activities supporting literacy, science, the arts, and physical education. Activities are also designed to promote the social, physical, intellectual, and emotional development of children. Youth development professionals conduct activities that enhance the school day in the after-school program.
Each school site program needs to meet a minimum number of participants; some school sites are combined with adjacent school sites, with transportation provided between schools. Programs are also available on most no-school days and during vacation breaks.
Monthly field trips and swim days are included in our Kids Club program. Field trips are open to any Springfield community youth, even those who are not regular Kids Club members. Participants interested only in attending field trips are not required to register for Kids Club but must register at the Kids Club variable rate for the day. Registration 24 hours in advance is required in order to ensure proper materials are available.
• Guy Lee, Page, Mt. Vernon and Yolanda take their field trips on Tuesdays.
• Riverbend, Ridgeview, Thurston and Maple take their field trip on Wednesdays.
• Swim trips to Splash! at Lively Park generally occur one Friday a month for each school.
For specific dates and destinations consult your site calendar, the Willamalane Web site or call 541-736-4544. Registration includes: field trip admission, snack, activities and supervision until 6 p.m. at the school site.
