Ready to hit the road? We’ve got a fun lineup of autumn events for you to fall for:
Mt. Angel Oktoberfest: Mt. Angel. This festival is now in its 50th year! Smell the sizzling bratwurst, listen to the oom pah pah of the music and see the traditional costumes at this annual celebration of all things German. Visit the doll museum, listen to a concert in St. Mary’s parish and shop the craft vendors.
Oregon’s Scenic Coast: Charleston. Fall is a beautiful time to visit the Oregon Coast! Travel south to Shore Acres State Park. Relax and savor your picnic lunch while enjoying the dahlias and roses blooming in the garden and some of the most spectacular wave-watching on the coast. After a little beach time we’ll head to Cranberry Sweets to satisfy your cravings for coastal treats.
On the Farm: Pleasant Hill. Bob and Lynn Schutte embarked on a new career after retirement: developing Northern Lights Christmas Tree Farm. After 29 years it has become so much more than just trees! On this special trip we’ll take a hayride and tour the farm, and Bob and Lynn will share some of the joys and trials of their labor of love.
Fall Foliage Along the Aufderheide: Cascade Range. Aufderheide Drive is one of Oregon’s most scenic rural routes. We’ll take a beautiful loop from Springfield to Westfir to the McKenzie Highway, stopping along the way for short walks and a picnic before heading home again through miles of colorful fall foliage.
