Quinn Lake is our newest team member, filling the role of Adaptive Recreation Coordinator. Quinn will be specifically responsible for the assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation of both the Adaptive Recreation Programs and Inclusion services. The goal of inclusion services is to provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. We use a person-centered approach to provide respectful accommodations that will ensure the safety and success of all the participants in programs.
Adaptive Recreation’s goal is to provide adults and transition-aged youth with disabilities opportunities for social engagement with their community. We focus on community readiness skills and fun! We seek to provide the quality of life and strengthen community benefits through arts, fitness, and social activities.
Quinn comes to us with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from West Virginia University and she most recently has been working as a mental health therapist with a focus in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. Quinn and her husband moved to Oregon in April of this year with their beagle-basset mix, Nollie. During her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking, camping, snowboarding, as well as playing in co-ed rec sports, primarily softball. She is looking forward to being a part of Willamalane and helping people improve their well-being and work towards reaching their potential.
