Picture-perfect Fall

SPRINGFIELD, OR - FEBRUARY 10, 2018: Students in a community program class through Willamalane learn photography from a professional photographer teacher in a park setting outdoors.

Willamalane fall programs are here! This issue of the Park & Recreation Guide is packed full of fun ideas to keep you and your family busy all season long.

It’s back-to-school time, which means it’s time to sign up for Preschool, Kids Club and Early Start. We’ve also got a week of No-school Days leading up to the school year and beyond. Keep young athletes active after school with After-School All-Stars and Middle School Sports.

Fall colors mean gorgeous photos! Willamalane Park Foundation’s “Autumn at Willamalane” photo contest starts in October, and we’d love to see your submissions. Want to up your photo game? Local photographer Joshua Rainey is teaching a Photography Basics class starting in September.

Later in October, we’ve planned three spooktacular events: The Great Costume Swap, Haunted Hayride and Halloween Carnival. Plus, check out our annual favorites, PetFest and Turkey Stuffer!

And we have classes for adults to match any interest. Are you a crafter? Let your imagination soar in our Needle Felting, Wreath Making and Holiday Gifts classes. Artist? Express yourself with Mixed Media, Watercolor and Oil Painting. Techie? Plug in to Circuit Building, Soldering, Arduino and an all-new Sound Engineering class.

There’s so much more to explore this fall! Search the website to find just what you’re looking for, or flip through the pages of the Park & Recreation Guide to discover something new.
