What’s the deal with the wooden nickels?
You can buy these wooden nickels (pictured to the right) in advance to trade in for a souvenir glass and your first beverage samples. You can get them for $5 at any Willamalane facility before the event.
What food and drink vendors will be at the event?
Food: Darkside of the Q, Cornbread Cafe, Dickeys Barbecue Pit, Vinnie’s Smokin’ BBQ Food Truck, The Washburne Café, Rich Dawgs LLC, Dominican Delights LLC, Saucy Miss Tris, Paradise Shaved Ice, BGB’s Jerky

How much will food and drink cost?
For food, vendors will be selling regular size meals at prices they are setting themselves. We are also encouraging them to also offer smaller bites so you can sample various vendors throughout the evening.
For beverages, you can buy taste tickets for $2 each. One ticket gets you a 4 oz. pour, three tickets gets you a full glass. This system helps us to keep lines fast so you can spend less time waiting and more time tasting.
How do I get more taste tickets?
Visit the Willamalane Ticket booth. We’ll sell you tickets for $2 each.
What music will we be jamming to?
Hans & the Wanted and Blackbird, a Beatles cover band.
What’s the deal with #SpringfieldProud?
Tap & Taste is a celebration of all things Springfield, especially our food and drink. So at this event, we offer up Springfield Proud merch like T-shirts, tanks and hoodies so you can wear your pride all year long.
May I bring my kids to this event?
You may. This event was created with adults in mind, so there won’t be kid-focused activities or onsite supervision for them. But we will have non-alcoholic beverages available for them to enjoy including tea soft drinks.
