1Passes on sale beginning Friday

This year’s partnership between Eugene Rec and Willamalane features an updated online sales process to minimize wait times

City of Eugene Recreation and Willamalane are again partnering to bring the 1Pass program to Eugene and Springfield youth, and this year a couple changes to the sales process will make it easier for families to get their tickets for summer fun.

In a change this year, all sales will be online to make the process more efficient and remove wait times. Cards will not have names and photos printed on them either, eliminating printing times. All public sales begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 17.

There are two ways to purchase a 1Pass, either through Eugene Rec or Willamalane. For those interested, please visit getrec.org/1pass or willamalane.org/1pass. People will need to set up an account with the organization they would like to purchase from. If you buy a pass from the City of Eugene you will need an account with Eugene Rec, which you can set up at getrec.org/register. Willamalane’s registration website is willamalane.org/register. You can’t use a Rec account to register with Willamalane or vice versa.

1Passes are $60 and give kids 18 and under access to exciting destinations around Eugene and Springfield this summer. These carefully selected places include swimming pools, museums, a golf course, a trampoline park, a bowling alley, a disc golf course, indoor basketball, roller skating, miniature golf and more.

Passes will be available for pickup in Eugene and Springfield beginning Monday, May 20. In Eugene, people can go to Amazon, Echo Hollow or Sheldon pools. In Springfield, people can pick up their 1Pass at Bob Keefer Center. Kids can start to use the 1Pass beginning June 17, so people have nearly a month to get them. See below for a pickup schedule for Eugene’s three pools at Willamalane.

The last day to use the 2024 1Pass is Monday, Sept. 2.

Eugene Rec and Willamalane jointly run the 1Pass program and split the sales process. This year each organization has 5,500 passes to sell for a total of 11,000. This limit helps maintain reasonable traffic to each destination. In 2021, some school districts began covering the cost of a 1Pass for students. Since then, the program has grown and the demand for 1Pass reached new heights in 2023.

Springfield Public Schools purchased 4,000 passes for local students, and both Bethel and 4J school districts in Eugene bought limited quantities for select programs. In total, Eugene Rec has approximately 5,100 passes to sell to the public. Willamalane has approximately 1,500 to sell to the public.
