FREE Event on Saturday, June 8, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Willamalane invites the community to a free Fitness Expo on June 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Willamalane Adult Activity Center. The event will offer a variety of health and wellness activities.

Participants can try different fitness classes and educational sessions, savor delicious snacks, and check out a wellness fair featuring local organizations, including AARP, Home Share Oregon, FETCH Therapy Dogs, SPD, Hand of the Heart Massage, Springfield Library, and the University of Oregon. Attendees will also have the chance to win prizes through a raffle.

"Willamalane’s Fitness Expo aims to bring together the local fitness and wellness community to promote all-encompassing wellness. We want to provide an easy way to try group classes and education sessions while learning more about new instructors and new seasonal offerings," said David Kieffer, Recreation Program Manager at Willamalane.

Willamalane recently added new weekend and evening exercise and water fitness classes, making it more convenient for community members with 9-5 work schedules to participate in these programs. There are also new free outdoor fitness classes throughout the summer, held at Dorris Ranch and Willamalane's FitLot at Les Schwab Sports Park.
