Together Through Parks
Celebrate Community Through Art
Parks and recreation are at the heart of a healthy, active community. Willamalane’s spaces and programs inspire connection and create opportunities for the community to grow, play, and belong.
Together Through Parks is a community art project that highlights how parks and recreation bring people together. Now you’re invited to share your own stories of connection through parks and recreation.
About the Project
In early 2025, Willamalane invited local artists to create artwork that reflects how parks and recreation bring us together. The selected artists are creating black-and-white or grayscale pieces that will be featured in a temporary exhibit at Bob Keefer Center.
This is just the beginning. This project may grow to include murals, site-specific installations, community events, and digital displays.
How You Can Participate
There are two easy ways to take part in this project:
1. Submit a Postcard
Get creative! You could doodle your favorite place to connect with family and friends, write about a favorite moment, or dream up something new that builds community. All submissions will be displayed at Bob Keefer Center.
Where to submit:
- Drop your completed postcard at any Willamalane facility
- Mail it back
- Bring it to a Willamalane special event
2. Stop by a Willamalane Event
It’s fun and easy for everyone to take part! Stop by the Together Through Parks table at a Willamalane event and try a fun activity where you can help complete a community story by filling in the blanks.
