Together Through Parks

About the "Together Through Parks" Project

Willamalane is connecting with local artists to celebrate how parks and recreation bring us together as a community. This project will highlight the shared spirit of Springfield and foster a sense of community through creative expression. 

In early 2025, Willamalane launched a call to artists. The call for artists closed on Feb. 21. Selected artists will create a two-dimensional black-and-white or grayscale piece to be featured in a temporary installation. Community members will be invited to experience the exhibition and share their stories about how parks bring us together as a community. 

Willamalane hopes to see this project grow. In addition to the temporary art installation(s), artists may be commissioned to expand their initial work into murals, site-specific installations, community events, or digital features.
