December Hours

Facilities will see adjusted hours for winter break and holidays. All facilities will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 and will close early on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. 

All fitness classes, including water fitness classes, are on break from Dec. 22 through Jan. 5. No fitness classes will be held at Willamalane Adult Activity Center in December. Check the December fitness calendar for class and location details.

Dorris Ranch Orchard Project

The orchards at Dorris Ranch will be closed beginning Nov. 18 and will remain closed for approximately two weeks. Willamalane will remove 40 acres of Eastern Filbert Blight-infected orchards during this closure. This work requires special safety measures, and it is extremely dangerous to enter these areas. Middle Fork Path will remain open during this time. These dates are work and weather-dependent and may adjust. Please pay attention to posted signs. You can follow updates here.

Willamalane will plant new blight-resistant trees in the orchards in early 2025. 

Park Notices

  • Douglas Gardens Park - Construction of a new shelter at Douglas Gardens Park will begin the week of August 26 and continue through September. The park will remain open during construction, but areas of the park may be roped off. Be aware of heavy equipment and machinery in the park and pay attention to posted signs.
  • Mill Race Path - Construction of a wildlife viewing platform along the Mill Race Path near the Jasper Road Trailhead will begin on August 28 and continue through October. Temporary detours along the Mill Race Path will be possible during construction. Please pay attention to posted signs along the path. Check back for updates on related detours and closures.
  • Thurston Hills Natural Area - Mountain bike trails are now closed for the rainy season.
