Budget
Willamalane is committed to being a good steward of your tax dollars.
In 1944, Willamalane became the first special park district in Oregon. Since then, Community members who live within district boundaries pay a dedicated tax to support parks and recreation. Currently, tax revenue accounts for about 70% of Willamalane’s budget. Other funding sources are admission fees, grants, and sponsorships.
Every dollar generated is reinvested in our community to improve and maintain parks, facilities, programs, and more.
Public Budget Process
Each spring, Willamalane publishes its annual budget, balancing revenue with expenses to ensure sufficient reserve funds remain available. A budget committee, composed of appointed community members, reviews the budget alongside the elected Willamalane Board of Directors. Fiscal years run from July through June.
Upcoming Budget Meetings & Hearings
The Willamalane Budget Committee meetings and hearings are held in person at the Bob Keefer Center and virtually, unless otherwise specified.
Budget Hearings
Budget schedules will be posted once finalized in the early spring.
