Play Tennis
Willamalane offers a variety of tennis programs for all ages, levels, seasons, and abilities, including outdoor courts, group lessons, private lessons, and summer camp lessons. Experienced coaches provide personalized instruction in a supportive and fun environment, helping participants improve their fitness, hand-eye coordination, social skills, and confidence.
Willamalane offers outdoor tennis courts at Douglas Gardens Park, Guy Lee Park, Page Park, and Willamalane Park. These courts are not fully maintained during winter months. Indoor courts are available year-round on a first-come, first-served basis at Bob Keefer Center.
Group Tennis Lessons
Tennis classes are held indoors until the spring.
Intermediate Group Lessons
These intermediate to advanced group tennis lessons are for ages 16 and older.

- $9 in-district, $11 out-of-district per lesson
- Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30-11 a.m. and Fridays, 10:30 a.m.-noon

- No classes on 1/20, 1/22, 1/24, 2/17, 2/26, 2/28, 3/3, 3/24, 3/26, and 3/28

- One student: $28 in-district, $34 out-of-district
- Two students: $34 in-district, $41 out-of-district

Instructors
Gordon Reed
Gordon Reed started playing tennis at age 7 in Bethesda, Maryland, where he competed for the Walter Johnson HS Tennis team for three seasons as both a doubles and singles player. He went to Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland, where he competed on the team for one season. Later in his life, Gordon found his home in Eugene, where he began teaching tennis in 2010. After volunteering for a number of years, Gordon joined the Willamalane staff in 2020 where he leads group classes, camps, and private tennis lessons.
