Eastgate Woodlands is part of the Whilamut Natural Area, extending west to Eugene and Alton Baker Park. The West D Street Greenway runs through Eastgate Woodlands and connects with paved paths in Alton Baker. Pre's Running Trail, the Dellinger Trail, and the Ruth Bascom Riverbank Trail also pass through Eastgate Woodlands. Heron Park and a designated parking lot are located on Aspen Street.

This 6-acre park is adjacent to Douglas Gardens Elementary School with seasonal restrooms and plenty of open space.

Notices

Construction of a new shelter at Douglas Gardens Park will begin the week of August 26 and continue through September. The park will remain open during construction, but areas of the park may be roped off. Be aware of heavy equipment and machinery in the park and pay attention to posted signs.
