Get Together with Friends

Spend time with friends at Willamalane Adult Activity Center, where you can enjoy a wide variety of programs for older adults. These activities are a great way to spend free time during the day, make new friends, and improve your overall well-being.

Ages 50+. Access all the activities in the adult activity center lobby, make new friends, and improve your overall well-being with the Get-Together Pass. Get one at the front desk. Valid for one year from the date of purchase. Scholarships are available.

Bingo: 1st and 3rd Tuesday, 1-2:30 p.m.

Win prizes and have fun with friends.

Book Club: 1st Monday, 1-3:30 p.m.

Connect with fellow book lovers. There are no assigned books. Share what you’re reading and learn about new authors.

Canasta: 1st and 3rd Thursday, 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Players attempt to make melds of seven cards of the same rank and "go out" by playing all cards in their hands. Games can be played with two or four players.

Chat Room: 3rd Wednesday, 1:30-2:45 p.m.

Come to Chat Room to share what's on your mind. Share in person, meet new people, and form friendships.

Clutter Clean-up: 3rd Thursday, 10-11:30 a.m.

Join this gathering to share the challenges and triumphs of your decluttering journey and learn helpful new strategies.

Coffee Connection: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-noon

Enjoy coffee or tea. Sit down, relax, read the paper, and meet new people. Free baked goods are available several times per week.

Computer Access: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Use a computer for one hour at a time, up to two hours per day. Two free print-outs are included if needed.

Conversations with Women: 1st and 3rd Wednesday 10:15-11:30 a.m.

Join other women to exchange ideas in a group discussion format.

Game Time: 2nd and 4th Friday, 1-3:30 p.m.

Stay entertained for hours with various games, including Scrabble, dominoes, Uno, chess, and brain teasers!

Knotty Knitters: Thursday, 1-3:30 p.m.

All levels of knitters, crocheters, and fiber lovers are invited to join. It’s always more fun to have someone to chat with while your fingers do their thing.

Mahjong: Thursday 1-3:30 p.m.

Discover the strategic thrill of mahjong. All newcomers are welcome to join and learn the game.

Movie Appreciation Group: Wednesday, 1-3:30 p.m.

Join this group for a captivating cinematic experience. English subtitles available.

Movie Matinee: Wednesdays 1-3:30 p.m. (Aug. 19, Sept. 30, Oct. 28, and Dec. 2)

Watch an afternoon movie and enjoy fresh popcorn and drinks for 50 cents.

Pinochle: Thursday, 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Learn how to play this trick-taking card game for 2-4 players.

Quilting Bees: Tuesday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Quilters use small machines to work on pieces together, sometimes providing quilts for the gift shop. New quilters are welcome!

The Song Birds: 1st and 3rd Fridays, 2-3:30 p.m.

Share your favorite music and plan fun singing adventures together. Oldies, goodies, favorite artists from the '50s, '60s, and '70s, and everything in between.

Texas Hold 'Em: Monday, 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Both newcomers and pros can join this fun poker game.

Wood Carvers: Tuesday, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Carve your masterpiece or just come to learn from others. Bring your own tools and wood.
