Willamalane is preparing to plant more than 500 native trees and shrubs in riparian areas like Georgia Pacific Natural Area this spring. Each new plant will be surrounded by newspaper that will act as a weed barrier and allow the new plants to thrive.

In the aftermath of the recent ice storm, Willamalane Park and Recreation District is addressing significant damage at parks, paths, trails, natural areas, and parking lots.

Community Respite 

SPRINGFIELD, Ore.

Willamalane Park and Recreation District unveiled a new student technology lab at Bob Keefer Center (250 S 32nd St, Springfield, OR 97478). The student technology lab is located in the main lobby and includes several laptops. It is open to any Springfield Public School student.
